This page explains what happens to your data on swatsmith.com. In short: the site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. If you join the waitlist, your answers are stored with the email service Brevo so that I can contact you about the Debugger.

What is stored when you join the waitlist

Why, and on what legal basis

To tell you about the Debugger and the opening of the first batch, and to decide which version gets built. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you confirm by clicking the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to the address above.

Email service

Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France) stores the waitlist and sends the emails on my behalf, under a data processing agreement. Brevo processes the data in the EU.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. When you open a page, the server technically has to process your IP address, the time and the file requested. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Stored in your browser

Your choice of language and light or dark mode is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it. It is never sent to me.

How long

Until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a restriction of processing, and a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
